Whoogle Instance?
-
Hi, I am a user of Firefox and I just wanted to let you know, thank you for the services, like SearXNG, the one I've been using, I've been finding for an instance that is perfect for a period of time, the instance I've been using, gave me off-topic and foreign results, but I've been using yours and its perfect, so thank you.
Anyways, as a SearXNG daily user, I've been searching for a quite of topics now, but I've noticed one problem during some of these results, most of them are either foreign language results, or just straight up, wrong results. Now, I've been interested in a search engine, Whoogle, Whoogle is basically a search engine that uses Google but doesnt track you at all, so it is like degoogled in some way, Now SearXNG supports Google, but Google results are either off-topic or foreign too.
Like when I try search like 'Joplin Tornado" it gives me the results but those are Chinese, but they contain the word 'Joplin" in one way or another. Anyways I don't know what to say more, but thank you for the services and I hope you can make a whoogle instance.

What you are describing is the current problem with the bing and yahoo engine. They don't give quality results for an unknown reason for some percentage of results. The reason why bing is the default on my instance is because it gives near limitless results as it doesn't rate limit. Before I had google enabled as default but it broke in early october (refer to this GitHub issue if you want to read up on it: https://github.com/searxng/searxng/issues/5286)
Either way since duckduckgo and brave also increased their bot detection the only "quality" general search engine left is presearch.
You can switch the engines when you go to preferences -> engines. There you can enable/disable engines however you want.
Hope this helps and thanks for your feedback!
